Those Who Live In Indiana

Some of what makes those who live in Indiana great is intangible-quality of life that makes us content, Midwestern values that drive us to do our best and confidence that leads to our success. But, some of what makes the Indiana workforce ideal for your business is in the numbers-the regional demographics. 

Northeast Indiana Workforce

In 2006, the US Census reported that Northeast Indiana’s population was 743,994 and predicted continued growth. Sixty-six percent of Northeast Indiana’s population holds a high school diploma or higher. And, most of those who live in Indiana are between the ages of twenty-five and forty-four, comprising our skilled Indiana workforce. What do these numbers say to us? Our Indiana workforce is not only strong today, but will grow stronger tomorrow.

Fort Wayne, Indiana Population

Fort Wayne, Indiana, the hub of our region, contains over thirty percent of the region’s population, totaling six percent of those who live in Indiana state. Fort Wayne, Indiana offers the Indiana workforce a city atmosphere with a Midwestern comforting feel and, as a result, attracts most of the Indiana workforce in the region. Fort Wayne, Indiana has over one-hundred-thousand workers with high school diplomas or higher, many of whom spent time in a vocational or technical institution, training for our specialized industries. Thus, Fort Wayne, Indiana is one of the major drivers of economic growth and the attraction and retention of a skilled workforce to live in Indiana.
