Kendallville gets grant leading to 65 jobs

The Journal Gazette

Kendallville has been awarded a $455,000 economic development grant to help create 65 jobs at Creative Liquid Coatings Inc., Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman announced today.

The grant from the Community Economic Development Program is to purchase capital equipment to help the company expand, Skillman said in a statement.

The funds for the program were dedicated to Indiana after several natural disasters in 2008, the statement said. Noble County was declared a disaster area following January 2008 flooding.

"In these tough economic times, it is critical to leverage all of the resources we can to spur economic growth," Skillman said in the statement.
