Press Release
Fort Wayne, Ind. - August 24, 2010 - NoMoreClipboard, a personal health record company, today announced an agreement to manage health records for patients using the National Surgery Network medical marketplace service.
National Surgery Network has developed the first medical marketplace offering pre-negotiated case rates on major surgeries and other medical procedures using providers located around the nation. The network allows plan members to receive top quality care for their specific health situation, at any location in the network, at a 30-50 percent reduced rate. The NoMoreClipboard platform will be offered immediately to all plan members allowing for the electronic storing and transfer of medical records to new and current doctors/surgeons.
"We are giving patients the option of seeing doctors and surgeons in any part of the nation for their given situation at the lowest possible cost, and we needed an efficient method of compiling and transferring patient medical records and providing discharge instructions for primary care physicians back home," said Ken Erickson, CEO of National Surgery Network. "NoMoreClipboard was an obvious choice for us due to its proven success in fostering secure, electronic data exchange and ability to brand the PHR under our umbrella. We expect to have a significant volume of patients up and running, and actively using the PHR by the end of 2010."
Under the agreement, the personal health record will be branded as a National Surgery Network application and will also include integration with Unival, a proprietary data conversion solution which converts patient records from paper to digital format. Following the procedure, members will have their own National Surgery Network personal health record and can manage personal health information for themselves and up to ten family members. The PHR also integrates with the Google Health and Microsoft HealthVault consumer health platforms.
"National Surgery Network is an innovative company that recognizes the valuable role that a personal health record can play in managing health information, coordinating care, and engaging patients," said Jeff Donnell, NoMoreClipboard President. "National Surgery Network is an ideal client and business partner, as they are making our PHR a pivotal component of their groundbreaking delivery model. The PHR is not only integrated with their business process, it provides their patients with a branded tool for the ongoing management of family health and wellness."
