Northeast Indiana is an ideal place for either bringing in products or staging them for transportation out of the region.

Our proximity to major metropolitan markets in the Midwest (three hours from Chicago; two hours from Indianapolis; 2 ½ hours from Detroit and 3 ½ hours from Cleveland) gives us a strategic advantage in getting product to the customer. We offer both an east-west corridor via Interstates 80/90 and a north-south corridor via Interstate 69.

More than 40 trucking companies serve Northeast Indiana. Rail lines include CSX, Norfolk Southern, Indiana Northeast Railroad, Rail America and Wabash Central Railroad.

Triple Crown, an affiliate of Norfolk Southern Corporation, provides bimodal, truckload transportation services to customers throughout the eastern two-thirds of the United States and Canada, with terminals in 12 U.S. cities and Toronto.

Northeast Indiana also hosts an airport with a landing strip so long, it’s one of the few places on the planet the space shuttle can safely land. Kitty Hawk Cargo operates a 239,000-square-foot sortation hub adjacent to the Fort Wayne International Airport and provides scheduled air freight connections to more than 45 cities in North America.
